Queer Souls
A photographic meditation by Roger Alarcon
Abstract:
Queer Souls is a monochrome exploration of identity, tenderness, and the quiet revolution of self-acceptance. In this fine art series, the bodies of two queer individuals—Charly and Alice—become vessels of emotion, strength, and transformation. Each frame whispers of a truth too often unseen: that beauty does not ask for permission, and pride is not always loud.
Charly stands with the grace of a man unafraid to honor his feminine light, his strength drawn from softness, his mind sharpened by the courage of authenticity. Alice, radiant in her unfiltered presence, reclaims the queer feminine body—not as spectacle, but as poetry. She does not pose as an ideal, but rather is—whole, grounded, and luminous in her natural form.
Together, their closeness forms a sacred geometry: two souls mirroring each other’s dignity. In their union, we witness the quiet power of equality—not as concept, but as embodiment. These images are not just portraits; they are hymns to the invisible, the internal, the soul made visible through skin and gaze.
Queer Souls invites the viewer to look beyond gender, beyond performance, into a space where queerness is not explained—it is felt.
